Stunning Condo Near Washington Park - Free Parking

I always book lodging that has great reviews so I was a bit disappointed when this Vrbo did not live up to its rating. The location was great… right in the heart of OTR, the apt was clean and the beds were comfortable. Those were the good aspects. What was disappointing was the lack of accurate info from the host. The instructions for check-in involved getting the key out of a lock box with a number 9 on it…there were multiple lock boxes clustered at the gate, but none with a number 9 on them. So, we tried each one until one opened. Instructions need to be updated about how to lock the main door to the apt. We wanted to go out but the door would not lock when we used the instructions. It was obvious that the instructions were outdated because it specified to press a button that was not on the keypad. So, one of us stayed behind. We figured it out by ourselves the next morning but did not hear back from the host until after we checked out. The handle for the shower had broken off prior to our arrival so it was difficult to get the temperature warm enough for a shower. The toilet paper roll holder was also ripped off the wall. I was worried that the required deposit fee that had been billed to my card before our arrival wouldn’t be refunded because of these broken items. Having to sign and pay this deposit before we arrived made me assume that everything in the apt would be in good working order. So, heads up to future customers!

The property is well maintained and located walking distance from much the area has to offer. Parking was close and convenient. Highly recommended.

We stayed in OTR because we wanted to view Blink. This was a great location within walking distance to Findlay Market, Music Hall, Washington Park and a block from the Cable car line. It was perfect for Blink as there were several displays within two blocks. We rented with another couple and it was great that the bathrooms were NOT directly connected to either bedroom so easy for anyone to go to the bathroom no matter what time of night and not disturb anyone else.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. 2 blocks South was easy parking at Washington Park along with a great neighborhood festival. 3 blocks North was the absolutely wonderful Findlay Market which spoiled us every morning with coffee, bakery items and fresh local goods. The place itself was cozy and had all accommodations as advertised. The sitting room worked great to catch some late night football and streaming TV shows. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. Would absolutely stay again!

The space was clean and comfortable, everything that we were looking for to crash after a last minute concert trip. While it wasn’t an issue for us, it should be noted that the free parking is a couple blocks away and to get to the unit requires climbing a few flights of stairs. I liked that the parking was in a secure garage under the park.
